Jammin Java found its unique identity as well. Year after year, Pollstar Magazine recognizes the club as one of the Top 100 Venues in the world according to ticket sales, and we sell the most tickets of any club our size anywhere. We also have the most active children’s music concert series of any nightclub around. Countless national publications have featured Jammin Java too, including Paste Magazine who named us one of the “Top 40 Music Venues” in the country. We have also built an incredible network of support from an international community of artists, fans, managers and agents who love what we do here.

In the life of Jammin Java, as in our own lives since we started this adventure, there have been times of extreme struggle and near-devastation, false starts, detours and proud moments and triumphs. We made it through September 11th and the fallout, sniper attacks, a few blizzards and hurricanes, Presidential elections, and so much more, and we always find ourselves returning to what drew us to Jammin Java in the first place – music, family and community.

City Winery is the brainchild of Michael Dorf, founder of the iconic Knitting Factory, one of New York’s longest running music venues, who wanted to create a space in Manhattan where he could combine his shared passions for wine and music. After making his first barrel of wine in California with his brother Josh and winemaker David Tate, formerly of Ridge Winery and now at Barnett Vineyards, Michael caught the bug: "For a long time I'd been enjoying wine as a fan - drinking it, taking classes, attending wine dinners - but it was not until I actually started participating in the process of working with the grape, turning it into wine, putting it into a bottle, and watching it develop over time, that I really started to understand wine. And when I would give my friends a bottle of wine with my name on it, most would respond by saying: 'I wanna do that too!' It was this experience that led Michael to conceptualize and start working on the City Winery business plan in 2006.

The Montage Music Hall is located in the heart of downtown Rochester’s FABULOUS East End. The East End is the host to the majority of what Rochester has to offer in terms of LIVE Music and Club scene. The Montage hosts annual events such as The Rochester International Jazz Festival, The Rochester Fringe Festival and The Rochester Entertainment Metal Festival and Music Marathon. The venue has a cap of 400 and does the bulk of Local, Regional and National acts. The venue has hosted National Acts from all over the world of all genres.
